pleased with the product, March 24, 2009 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Deluxe Variable Pressure Pump Alternating Pressure Pad (Health and Beauty) I bought this since january for my grandma who had a fracture and has to be in bed for looong periods of time.
We liked this pad and pump a lot, because it's avoiding her to start having skin ulcers.
Besides, I asked in specialized medical stores and, compared to those stores, this one was pretty cheap.

He is unable to move and while in bed, bed sores are a given. Bought one of these when hospice was unable to get one when he needed it. Extremely well priced. It looks, feels and works like a much pricier model. In fact this is the same exact model that the local medical supply offers for sale and rent at much higher prices. No bed sores except for a spot on his left ear which the pad is unable to help with. Maybe need an alternating pressure pillow.

And, having cats with anything inflatable means replacing said inflatables every few months, regardless of how many layers of "movers blankets" I put under the sheets to protect the pad or how much "vinyl repair" glue I use to fix the punctures! Silly cats..
Anyway, this pad was cheap, it works with standard APP pumps, and it keeps me from being in excruciating pain when I wake up.
Well at least my back doesn't hurt so much, can't say it helps with the arthritis in my hands, elbows, knees, ankles, feet, etc. (Yes I'm just a total wreck!)
Only minor complaint is that new vinyl smell, which takes a week or 2 to air out but this is true of all the APP pads I've had.
